Thank you for responding I tried effexor but it did not work for me. I am focusing on ending the anxiety because I think that is causing the low level depression I am having.
I would have to say that my meds are working. I didn't think that I needed them until one day I had a panic attack that was like nothing before and I couldn't calm down. I went to the Dr. and was started on Effexor xr and Ativan 'as needed'. I take the Effexor everyday and my dr increases the dose as necessary and if I start to have a panic attack I take the Ativan to help calm myself down.
Have you thought about asking your dr for something that you take daily to help keep the anxiety under control and use the Ativan for any 'breakthrough' panic?
((((((((hug))))))) hope this helps and good luck.
Hi,
I am on Ativan and have been for some time but my anxiety seems to be going on all day. I am thinking of increasing my dosage (I am allowed to take up to 3 a day and only take one as I am afraid of becoming addicted) so I can make it through the day. I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions as to what works. I realize I am trying to just medicate my problem but I thought it would help alleviate some of my depression if I took more meds. Thanks for listening.
