Making friends

Hi Meliebean!

You are not alone in this. I think many people today have trouble meeting friends and many people are lonely. It can take a real effort to make friends. I am so glad you are willing to make that effort. as it can make a huge difference in your overall well being. What have you tried so far to try to meet friends? You could join a class or group. Look for resources in your community. Meetup.com may have a lot of groups in your area, or you could create a group of your own. Follow your own interests and then try to put yourself out there once you are in social settings. If you are introverted you may feel more comfortable chatting with people online who are local. Let us know what you decide to try and please share you experiences with us. I would love to hear them - I also think many members are likely struggling with this issue and your experience could inspire them :)

Hope to read more from you soon,

Ashley

So how do you make friends when your an adult?? One symptom I guess of depression is loneliness which I definitely experience. But i have no friends no one to go out with, no one to meet for coffee. No one!! I moved to the area I live at about 7 years I guess. I find most ppl seem to just stick to there own little groups. So where can I find one?? Lol I've made this one of my goals because i guess having a social life is important.
