Hi FolKs, thanks for the support. Third day on meds and all is going fine. I seem to be having a few more panic attacks though. Has anyone experienced that after starting meds. I know they need 3 weeks or so to kick in and that 25mg is not a high dose. I have to go downtown this next week too and that has me freaked out. I have great anxiety whenever I drive downtown. Not looking forward to that. Wish I had waited till after the meeting before I started the Zoloft. But then I would find another excuse to put off taking them. I did read an article in the paper from someone that got help from Zoloft , guess thats reassuring. I also am suppose to go up to 50mg on friday the day i have to go downtown. Would it be better to wait till Sat. to step up? I just wish I did'nt have to go downtown. I did make it into Costco and got out alive, guess this meeting can just be another step. Hope everyone has a great 4th. I'll be staying in I think, ok I know I'll be staying in. Jimbo

Hey jimbo how are you going? I also take zoloft been on it about 6 weeks it took a couple of weeks to really work had a few side affects like headaches and nauseas feeling i was grinding my teeth for a few days there too but they went away after a week so persevere and see how you go.I started off on 50mg a day but my doc wants to increase it to 100mg now but im too anxious to do that yet it took me 2 days to be able to start the meds i thought something bad would happen but im still here. Well I took the Zoloft at noon here on the west coast. Went into a little panic attack a few minutes after. It has been a little over three hours and I have somelightheadedness and am sleepy. So I guess all is normal here. It does feel a little worse on the dizzy feeling ad at this point I can't imagine going up to 50mg. Thanks for the support. I hope this helps me out. JImbo

Let us know how you are doing... I also take Zoloft -- it takes some time for your body to adjust to the medication... Take care.

I am going to take Zoloft. Hope it helps. I feel good this morning so of course I am hesitant . Will work up the nerve today sometime I hope. Only going to start with 25mg. Jimbo

Hi FolKs, Looks like I tried to find a new excuse for not starting Meds. My thyroid test came in low with my tsh @ 4.2. I see this can be a cause for depression. But called my Dr. and was told that at this level I should'nt be experiencing these symptoms. After panic attacks yesterday and then today before i went into my therapist. Well I was an houtr early for that , not good. I was already feeling my heart pounding. So I did the dumb thing of stopping at the fruit stand on the way home. Got through ok till I went through the line then I felt like my head was in the fog of a panic attack. Guess there are no more excuses. Tommorrow I pick up my prescriptionand take the plunge into a newe phase of my life. I hope it all works out. Jimbo
