Hi aubanki,

Congratulations on your journey in remaining smoke-free, having surpassed many milestones!
It's inspiring to hear you are also helping others who suffer from lung illnesses that are often related to smoking.
You are certainly a member that others look up to.
Continue to post with us and let us know how the medical studies progress.

Reward yourself well!!

In July it will be 5 1/2 years since I quit smoking.  It has been a long journey, with lots of ups and downs.

The biggest contibutions to my success was that I had moved a couple of years earlier, and nobody I now know smokes.  So when I would get urges, cigarettes were not available.

I have had all the problems with the weight gain but at least it is now stable.  would love to loss some, but trying to eat health and keep busy.,

I also have emphezima, so it was a good thing that I had already quit.  I am taking part in medical studies to help other people with COPD.

Thanks for all the support this site gave me when I was going through withdrawal.

Love aubanki
