Denver, I glad to hear that you have made the descion to quit. I to slipped a few times when I quit. Many of my slips were in social situations work etc. however i found that telling my friends and co workers I'm quitting helped they would encourage me to stay smoke free. and don't forget " Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." We all slip, I have quit 8 or more times in the last 5 years. This time, I'm really done with them. If you want to be a non smoker, you will find a way. It's a matter of will. And ask yourself, will your co-worker be there for you if you keep smoking and end up sick in the hospital?? I doubt it. I have found to be successful at quitting, you have to be kind of selfish about it. Your quitting for YOU, no one else, your doing it because YOU want to. If your doing it for anyone else, it won't work. It has to be for YOU!! Good luck friend, you'll do fine, never stop fighting. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and do it again starting NOW! But this time, let your co-worker go on her own! :) Good Luck! Hi All, I am on day 2 of being an ex-smoker and I slipped. I discovered that I am a social smoker. Well, a co-worker of mine who doesn't know I am trying to quit asked me to go out with her, and I let my craving get the better of me. I feel horrible. It is so hard. Any words of wisdom?? I appreciate it very much
