hot flushes??

I'm only 21 (not near menopause!) and have had my thyroid checked. Everything was normal. *shrug* I guess it's just something I have to deal with. Thanks for the reply!

What's your age? You're not close to menopause, are you? I didn't experience hot flashes (what I call them) until a year or two before menopause. I still have them occasionally even though I'm well past "the change" now. I run outside too. Usually that stops them. If I can't run outside, then I go around fanning my face saying "whew, whew, whew." Another thought...have you had your thyroid hormones checked recently? I think that's also a symtom of hyperthyroidism. I'd have to check it out to be sure.

For the past couple weeks, I have been getting hot flushes. (I guess that's what to call them.) I feel a burning sensation in my upper body and like I am really hot. I open a window or go outside but that doesn't help and I usually get chilly. (While still having the hot flushing feeling!) I have had panic disorder for 9 years but never this symptom before now. Anyone else go through this? I think I am going mad!
