So I haven't posted (or even visited) here in a bit, been doing GREAT with my quit. My youngest daughter (6 months old) is teething and I swear she screamed and cried in my ear for over an hour straight. I have her settled now but I am so absolutely craving for a cigarette right now that I can't even believe it. I don't think I will cave, just wanted to type away here and read, to let this pass I guess. I'm already feeling better I think.......So how are you all doing??? Will check back soon. Thanks tutti and good for you for making a positive choice to quit. I'll be honest, my first few days weren't too bad, it was about day 5 to day 12 that really got me, but I have 3 girls, the oldest is 11 going on 18 and she gave me A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E something awful those days, so I imagine thats why. You've gone through teething children, so I'm assuming you're a Mommy too??? I hope you stick with your quit, it's so rewarding. YOU CAN BEAT this awful addiction. I'm here for you as well. Hey BJ, I have three children as well, two boys and a daughter. But mine are now grown and live out on their own. But do I ever remember the teething stages. If you can get the baby's gums cold, they'll feel much better. I use to put tea spoons in the freezer and then rub the teaspoon on my baby's gums. Then, they came out with the teething ring that you can freeze. A really cold wet wash cloth works good too (for the baby to chew on). I'm a little more calm now. I want this quit so badly. Now, are you feeling a little better? Remember to drink that water during a crave. That is so strange to me how water helps with a crave. Oh, and BJ, if you're feeling really stressed out and nervous with the baby crying, don't drink anything with caffiene in it. It adds to stress. I'm still here for you. I know everyone else is too. Breathe!! ha ha ha Tutti My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 105 Amount Saved: $2.79 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 56 Seconds: 52

Bj, I know what you're going through. I know all about that teething business and it is so, so stressful. I'm right here and having a horrible, intense, I want to smack someone around, craving. ha ha ha I only quit yesterday so you know what my body is going through. So, we can lean on each other. Tell me what your tools were at the very beginning of your quit to manage with your cravings. I think you should pull them back up to the surface and rely on them tonight. You're well equipped. I'm right here if you need me. have you ever tried rubbing a bit or Orajel on those widdle gums?? It will be nasty for just a sec, but then it will numb things. We used it on one of the grandkids and thought it a blessing Katy
