areilly,

Welcome to our support community, you have come to a great place
It sounds like you have been through a lot, and are still working through some issues. Stay strong, and focus on the positive and on what you feel is good in your life. Also, please take the time to read through the program and to explore the tools and resources that are available to you through this site. We are here to help and support you in whatever you need.
Have you spoken to anyone else about these concerns, for instance a counsellor or psychologist?
Stay close, and please keep us posted on how you are doing,

Areilly, sounds familiar yet distinct.
I think most of us here are on 3++++ medications for this, that and the other thing, the weight thing is a given to most people, as we do not fit into what is considered the "normal" or "healthy" range, the doctors not knowing way back when, pretending everything was fine until finally the last straw broke and you have nothing left to hang on to.  The cutting is familiar to me as well, it is like letting the pain out physically that cannot escape by any other tangible means.
Now you have found a way to express verbally to people who will not judge, who like you are experiencing similar issues, who have the ups and downs (way ups and way downs), feelings of being alone and anxious, and just about every other feeling out there.
Keep posting, keep checking the posts and keep going, you can beat this with a little help from your meds, friends, counsellors, and internet.
All my best and hope to hear from you soon.

Asthma all mylife, as well as a lot of ear infections leading to my current hearing loss.  Over 60%, so I wear 2 hearing aids.  Beacuse of the asthma problems when I was a kid, I did not exercise because back then, thats what the doctors told my parents.  I couldn't even walk to school.

So that started the weight problems.  But I was okay with being big.

In 1998 I was diagnosed with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis.  After a year of the neurologist doing nothing, I got a new one who put me on the disease modifying drugs, one was a daily injection.

Over the years, I have been through a lot of medications, some of which make you gain weight. Again, more pounds but I was okay with it.

My only problem was working nights and not having a social like. But again, I was okay.

After 7 years, I decided to quit the medications and with that I quit my job.  For 2 years I was a temp worker until I found my current employer. And it is a day job.

After a year of medication free, I am back on a needle twice a week. And back on the pills for pain and dizziness.

3 months ago, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and
again, more medication.
Now as of 3 weeks ago, I was told that I am now a diabetic.

Right now I am 5 medications and this is before I see the diabetic specialist.

I am a cutter because I can't handle everything life sends my way and I feel like I am being punished for something because everything happens to me, in a bad way.
