Hi Lillyput,

It's great to hear from members like yourself who are a shining example of the quitting process and the victory won over this battle!

Congrats on 18 months smoke-free! Reflecting back on the early days must make you feel very proud, and strong, for all the difficult moments you endured. But............you made it!

Hello To day is another day smoke free I know from looking through the posts that it  is very hard on so many of us. I read your post Lil from Scotland ,  and while reading it I remember having a  day just like that when I cried all the way to work just wanted to feel normal again I felt so tormented I wanted so much to stop smoking but I also wanted the horrible feelings to stop.and just feel ok.  I still get days when I cry and I am not sure why But I can honestly tell you Lil and all the other quitters who are feeling like this it will get better 18 months on I have an odd bad day  but nothing like the torment I had in the first few months. I promise you it goes away and the freedom what can I say! I never want to go back. But as always I say to people who ask me how am I doing I take it just one day at a time Lil just one day at a time and cry all you want and rest sleep it realy helps drink lots of water and please just keep going you can do this you can win .

Send you hugs and best wishes  please stay strong

Lillyput
