Congratulations to Litza and snice. 40 days is a biggie. You're past that first month and rolling into some big numbers. You've seen the light. You've lived on the "other side" for a while. There's no turning back now!
Awesome!!! Congrats on making it to that 6 week milestone on your quit journey!!! You are both doing great!!!
I don't know what it is about that 6 week mark, but I'm telling you many of our quit buddies have had some major battles with the demon at this point in their quits! Keep that positive mind set and do your very best to power through, OK?
You might want to review your reasons for quitting and try to gather some inspiration from your words early on. Another thing that might help psych y'all up is to know that you are dang close to making it to that magic 50 day mark!!! That's right!!!! Cruise ship time and rewards a-plenty!!! Well, you don't have to wait that long, go ahead and reward yourselves a little bit right now! You deserve it!!!
Hang tough and keep on taking it one day at a time, ok? Keep celebrating every day... you ARE doing this!
Hi Litsa, I'm on day 43 and am also struggling this week. I don't think I have ever been so grumpy and aggitated in my life! BUT I WILL NOT SMOKE TODAY.
N.O.P.E. - this little word is the only thing that's saving me right now.
Kick ash, buddy! I know what you mean by the busy at work thing, but unfortunately I am burning my fingers in the process! At least the burns aren't caused by nasty cancer sticks! Remember, hot glass looks the same as cold glass!
Stay strong and remember N.O.P.E.!!! 100 days and your cruise to the beach is in sight!
Your story reminded me of my first dropped "cherry" in the car back in the 70's... the first burn hole in my new double-knit pants and the scar that melted burn hole left on my left thigh! Still have the scar! I'm so glad that I won't have to ever worry about doing that again, and it's not because I will never own another pair of double-knit pants!
Looking forward to hearing from you on the day that you "officially" achieve your "non-smoker" status, but in my mind, you already are! Great quit, buddy!
Ha! I just reached another milestone: 2,500 cigarettes not smoked.
At this point, I'm just amazed at how many of those I used to smoke. The leftover filters/ butts always bugged me as a trash/ environmental issue, but I never realized how huge of a pile I was making. I'm glad to not be doing that anymore.
