Should I Worry

18 years ago 0 243 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I'm only just starting to cough from time to time now. (But then, I never really coughed much even as a 30 a day smoker.) I'm told that some people just absorb a lot of the gunk through their bodies. Another good reason for drinking lots of water to get rid of it. I had a horrible smoker's cough after 34 years and 3 packs a day. Once I quit I stopped coughing. I have NEVER coughed that stuff up like others have. Everyone's quit is different..... Hey Mercy, not to worry everyone's quit is different and be thankful you didn't have that smoker's cough. Fortunately for me, I didn't go through it either. Instead I had some sinus infections that I had to fight through. Keep up the good quit Freebird ~'~ My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/24/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 144 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,336 Amount Saved: $604.8 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 11 Mins: 34 Seconds: 32

Hi Mercy Whatever it is worrying won't help it. Sounds to me like your body is doing it's own thing. You've quit - that's a big favour you've done yourself. So focus on that and get rid of the worry. Worrying is a useless activity because it doesn't change a thing. Congratulations on 25 days. HI Mercy, Congratulations on such a solid quit ! There is no need to worry about a lack of copughing up the brown crud. I read several thread about it and it sounded just awful. It never happened to me and I guess I should count myself lucky. Keep up the great work !!! mercy, Our bodies all heal in different ways! If you don't have the cough, don't worry. Many members did not experience this. Your body is healing in it's own way. Be sure to share any other symptoms you are having as we can all learn from one another :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
