Thanks for the all posts guys...it is so nice to know that you are not the only one suffereing from this....for the longest time I thought that it was just me and now I know that there are people that are feeling the same way I know!!! I know that I should just take the meds....but I am soo scared... the firt time that I tried paxil I ended up in the emeergency room!!! Anyone that is taking paxil or any other kind of antidepressant could you tell me the side effect of the drug (like the ones that you had and not the ones on the label)and couls you tell me if you had any releif...like how you feel now after taking it. Thank you emily

DAQURI, what dose of paxil are you taking? what side effects did you experience after taking the paxil? if so how long did the side effects last? do you take your meds in the morning or night?

HEY EMILY, everyone freaks out when they start the medicine, as soon as i swallowed the first medication they gave me( zoloft) i started thinking that i was feeling something right then and i could not stop thinking about the medicine, but everyone tells me that you probably will freak out just the first days of taken the medicine because your freaking yourself out, its not the medicine doing something to you, its you. you just have to find a way to get your mind off it. but freaking out for a week is a small price to pay for feeling like yourself again.

Hi Emily, I have gone through the same thing you are going through. It is the worst feeling in the world. I too stay home alot, I do go out if someone is with me, I hate to be alone. when I do. I am taking paxil and xannax to help and it did for quite a while , but seems to not help much anymore. I have tried to riase the dose but the jittery feeling I get scares me to death. Im gonna try to stick with it though and see if it wont go away, it did the first time. Then I can deal with my panic so much easier. I am 35 yrs old and have had panic attacks for 5 yrs. I just started the program, on my second week. This is the first time I have gotten any therapy for it. Take care

Well I tried every medication out there ...but I only last one day and I freak out!!!! Efvery since that I started having panic attacks....I couldn't take medication ( I was never that way before) Now I can;t take anything except for Ativan ( and i take that because that is the only thing that will calm me down...otherwise I would probably end up in the ER) I really should be on meds but I can;t take them I FREAK OUT!!! AS SOON AS THAT PILL GOES DWON MY THROAT ...I FREAK Emily

Hi Every one!!! I am new here and can relate to everyone. I have had severe panic attacks for 2 years now and still have found no help. My main symptom here is always being dizzy and constanlty thinking that I am going to die or have some termal illness. I am only 24. I will barely leave the house. If anyone feels the same way i do I would very much like some help.
