Hi ex-slave,
I guess it is not a case of what has happened, but what is going to happen next? There is about a 90% relapse rate if you smoke again, is this what you want? If not, you have to take control back right now.
I do not mean to dismiss your troubles, indeed I do understand that inner longing for some comfort, but your troubles remain, smoking does not remove them....just masks them for a few minutes....and then you have your problems back again.
You also have to decide how you want to go forward. Is this going to be 'it', or just 'for the time being until something else happens'? I am sorry if this sounds very tough, I do not mean to be tough on you personally, only on the problem that you are facing. I totally accept that you have been through very upsetting events. If you were further along in your quit, you would not experience the same longing that hits you now.
Now pick yourself up and continue your fantastic quit. You will never regret that you did. Have strength and feel a HUG.
Lizzie :)
