Thanks for your message and your support. I wish I could talk to my husband about it, he refuses to believe there is a problem, there are 'other things more important', it is making me so sad, we have only been married 5 weeks today and it is ruining it
Hello Londongal,
Welcome to the Depression Center. You will find a lot of spouses on this site. Sexual dysfunction is a common side effect of anti-depressant medication but it effects people differently. I would recommend that you talk to your husband and perhaps the two of you can visit his Doctor together. Keep posting and let us know how you are doing.

Can anyone help please, my husband (of 5 weeks) has been on Efexor XL slow release tablets for 2 years. He is a recovering alcoholic (dry for 2 years). Our sex life is non-existant and I am wondering if it is the Efexor causing it. Before we got married we did not sleep together as he is a practising Christian and sex before married is a definite 'no'. Have tried talking to him about he but he refuses to admit that there is even a problem - to me there is, in the last four weeks we have only slept together once, he just has no interest in sex at all.
